I'm thrilled that this indie pubbed series is available in both paperback and audible formats as well as the usual ebook edition. This is the second book in Daley's Everyday Heroes series and I love that each book features a canine (or two.) It can easily be read as a standalone.

Daley knows how to draw out the tension, creating the right balance of chills and thrills sure to keep an avid armchair sleuth turning pages (or in my case, rabidly listening.) Love the way the romance merges with the suspense (and I'm not just talking about the dogs here!) And the bad guy is pure evil (shivers running over my goosebumps!) There's a deliciously stalkerish vibe to this edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense. It might be love at first sight for these wonder dogs but their humans are a little harder to train. Suzie's a pint-sized diva and a part-time comfort dog who knows just how to soothe Serena's frazzled nerves.

Murder! Who is her stalker?!! She doesn't want anyone close to her to be hurt anymore! Quinn wants to stop whoever is doing this! Suddenly, things begin to happen that lead Serena to think her stalker has found her again. They both hit it off and seem to be headed towards an early, easy friendship. She meets her new neighbor, Quinn, who is a firefighter and his big dog, Brutus, who is an arson dog. Serena (her changed name) has already moved to a new town to escape a stalker and thinks everything in her past is behind her. It will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat if you're like me. It was very suspenseful and I had to know the ending - the "who done it?" - so I just kept reading! I think stalkers are one of the most creepy things there are and when you throw in arson, murder and new identities, you really have your hands full! That's all in this new book by Margaret Daley.
